Brentwood Science Magnet Celebrates its 100th Birthday!

A gala celebration was held in honor of the 100th Birthday of Brentwood Elementary/Brentwood Science Magnet School on October 22, 2016. Over 75 former teachers, parents and students of the school gathered in the Brentwood Youth House to join in celebrating this momentous occasion. The guests viewed memorabilia, played old-fashioned games like Jacks and Old Maid, showed off their Hula Hoop skills and shared anecdotes about their memories. Famous author, television commentator and former student David Wallechinsky shared his experiences from kindergarten through 6th grade. A book of memories called Tiger Tales was created and all enjoyed delicious birthday cake. Thanks to Birthday Committee co-chairs Laurel Davidson and Lynnette Goldner-Lipp and their team, the celebration was a wonderful reminder of the important history of Brentwood Science Magnet in the Brentwood community.
